This time we highlight films about assassins.
Included are: Crank (2006); This Gun For Hire (1942); Pulp Fiction (1994); Leon/The Professional (1994); Prizzi’s Honor (1985); and Le Femme Nikita (1991).
Assassins are almost always a cool bunch, and these posters reflect that. There’s the quiet killer, Leon, peering out from behind those hip shades. The amped-up hitman Chev in Crank, who has adrenaline (and poison) coursing through his veins. And the assassin lovers in Prizzi’s Honor who have their orders to kill…each other! But no poster better portrays the life of the killer-for-hire better than Nikita: A solitary figure, living in the shadows, constantly on the run, with a skewed perspective on life.
